MoMA x Mattel

MoMA and Mattel partnered on a five-year global collaboration celebrating design as both art and play across multiple collectible product lines. As Art Director and Visual Systems Lead, I developed the MoMA × Mattel Launch Guide, establishing the visual framework that unified MoMA’s curatorial aesthetic with Mattel’s brand storytelling.

Drawing from Bauhaus geometry, gallery typography, and MoMA’s restrained palette, I created a modular design system that balanced modernist structure with playful color and accessibility across packaging, retail, and marketing. The framework supported over 30 SKUs across five franchises, translating iconic artworks into products across Barbie, Hot Wheels, UNO, Magic 8 Ball, and Little People.
